eMarketer and E-Commerce Times Announce News Syndication Alliance

Posted on January 27, 1999

eMarketer and E-Commerce Times have jointly announced a news syndication and information alliance that brings together the business information resources for the internet industry. The agreement calls for eMarketer to feature daily headlines and news stories from the E-Commerce Times on its website while the E-Commerce Times will feature eMarketer's eQuiz on its site.

"This alliance will provide additional quality content to both companies web sites," said Alfstad, eMarketer's publisher. "Since being formed, both eMarketer and E-Commerce Times have represented new sources of information that help internet executives make the best business decisions. We believe the addition of the outstanding writing and coverage of the news that the E-Commerce Times offers each and every day, is consistent with our mission to bring the best news sources to our readers."

According to Richard Kern, associate publisher of the E-Commerce Times, "Our alliance with eMarketer represents an opportunity for both companies to capture additional market share. eMarketer is a premier producer of e-business marketing research and, therefore, both supplements our content and helps drive a highly targeted e-commerce readership to our site. This is truly a win-win-win situation for the E-Commerce Times, for eMarketer and for our advertisers, who will enjoy even greater exposure to qualified consumers of e-commerce products and services."
