EncycloZine.com Website Launches

Posted on July 16, 1999

EncycloZine, formerly known as CyberWeb SoftWare and the creators of The Web Developer's Virtual Library, has announced the launch of their new site, EncycloZine.com. The site inclues articles covering the arts, humanities, science, and technology, and will provide links to the best sites for further study. The site will also include discussion forums and interactive puzzles, games and quizzes.

Alan Richmond, EncycloZine President, said, "What has happened to the web since the early days? The early vision was of the web as a huge virtual library, with information on everything available at the click of a mouse, the realisation of Vannevar Bush's Memex. To some extent, that vision happened - but got buried under a deluge of amateurism, commercialism, spam, porn, sheer rubbish, and so on. Locating information on the web is becoming more and more problematic. The Truth Is Out There, as they say, but you have to go on a Quest to find it."
