Golden Boooks Names Kathleen Makrakis Vice President, Corporate Communications

Golden Books Family Entertainment, Inc. announced that Kathleen Makrakis has joined the company as Vice President, Corporate Communications. Makrakis reports directly to John C. Ferrara, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

With over two decades of financial and communications experience, she is a seasoned investor relations professional with a successful track record at major multinational organizations. In particular, her initiatives at Tambrands where she created and managed the investor relations function will certainly be of great benefit to Golden Books," noted Ferrara.
Makrakis was most recently Vice President, Investor and Shareholder Relations, at Tambrands, a worldwide manufacturer and marketer of consumer products. Before joining Tambrands in 1993, Makrakis held several financial management positions at IBM including management of certain financial forecasting functions. Makrakis began her career in 1977 at Price Waterhouse and is a CPA.
