GoodHome, a new home decorating e-commerce company, has announced that Doug Turshen has joined its creative team as editorial director. The former editor-in-chief of American HomeStyle and Gardening, Turshen will be responsible for overseeing the development of the editorial content and format on the website.

Turshen plans to make GoodHome the first stop for anybody who is planning to furnish or decorate a home. He says, "It will all come down to personal style. You will be able to search for items that match your own 'style statement' and GoodHome will provide you with the inspiration and great advice. And you'll be able to buy it all online.''

Turshen is a well-known art director with a specialty in interior design and home furnishings publications. In addition to his three-year tenure at American Homestyle and Gardening, Turshen spent ten years as the creative director of Family Circle and helped develop and launch several other magazines including Child, Fitness and Mary Emmerling's Country.

GoodHome CEO Doug Mack says, "Turshen's knowledge, insight, and expertise in the lifestyles, home furnishings, and decorating areas will produce a unique blend of the inspirational and the practical and will perfectly complement GoodHome's product selection and technology. We're going to redefine how people shop for their homes."
