Google+ May Create a Suggested User List

TechCrunch is reporting that Google may add a Suggest User List, like the one Twitter used to have. Google's Bradley Horowitz tweeted, "We're about to pilot a 'suggested user'-like mechanism on Google+. If you've got more than 100k followers on Twitter, DM me - lets talk!"
Twitter initially created a Suggested Users List (SUL) to make it easy for Twitter noobs to find people to follow. However, the list existed unchanged for far too long, which enabled those on the list to unfairly gain hundreds of thousands of followers. Twitter still has lists today but they are organized in categories and are less controversial than the SUL.
Google+ probably also wants to point new users toward interesting Google+ users to follow. They will have to be careful not to ignite the same controversy Twitter created with its SUL.
