Headbone and Advance Publications Internet Sign Syndication Agreement

Posted on February 6, 1998

Headbone Interactive, a provider of original online children's entertainment, announced it has signed an agreement with Advance Publications Internet to feature co-branded versions of the Headbone Zone on its local sites.

Advance Publications Internet is a new media company that launches and operates local Web sites in conjunction with Advance Publications Inc.'s newspapers. Five of Advance Publications Internet's sites, Alabama Live, Michigan Live, Oregon Live, Cleveland Live and NOLA Live will offer this content to their visitors. The agreement was announced at the Editor & Publisher's Interactive Newspapers Conference in Seattle.

The announcement is the latest development in Headbone's ongoing strategy to syndicate its award-winning Web site. The Headbone Zone is featured in more than 100 online newspapers across North America including such well-known dailies as The Chicago Sun Times, The Orange County Register, The Toronto Star, and The Philadelphia Daily News. Headbone's other major newspaper alliances include MediaNews Group, Copley Newspapers, and E.W. Scripps.

Headbone's syndication relationships involve either revenue sharing or fee-based models. Partners get a turnkey kids' content solution in the Headbone Zone, a Web site the New York Times recently noted, "has quickly become one of the most entertaining children's sites on the Web."
