Posted on June 9, 2000

HighWired.com, an online community of high schools, has signed an agreement with Turner Learning, Inc., the educational division of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., to develop news-based features that support classroom curriculum and content for grades 6 - 12.

Under the contract, HighWired.com will provide Turner Learning with a selection of its content and tools as part of a strategic Internet alliance - the new content offerings will be available starting in August on HighWired.com. In turn, Turner Learning will provide HighWired.com with news and current events information from daily feeds provided by CNN Interactive.

``The alliance with Turner Learning validates HighWired.com's position as the world's premier online education authority,'' said Don Young, president and CEO of HighWired.com. ``We believe that CNN Interactive's award-winning news and information will help us further extend our offerings and continue to provide the most comprehensive content for an enriching high school experience.''

``We at Turner Learning are very excited to begin this relationship with HighWired.com,'' said Dr. John Richards, senior vice president and general manager of Turner Learning. ``Together with CNN Interactive, we look forward to providing new and innovative Internet products to HighWired.com's huge community of high school students and teachers.''
