IDG Announces Agreement With Yahoo Industry Marketplaces

IDG.net has announced an agreement with Yahoo Inc., an Internet media company, to integrate technology news and information from IDG.net's network of websites into Yahoo! Industry Marketplaces, a business-to-business destination for information and services. Through the agreement, IDG.net will provide IT industry news, feature stories, product reviews and related content from publications including PC World, Computerworld, InfoWorld, Network World and Macworld to businesses and professionals.
Jeff Julian, president and publisher, IDG.net, says in the announcement, "Yahoo is one of the most recognized global and consumer brands, making it an ideal outlet for IDG to extend its reach to a broader group of technology enthusiasts and IT professionals. Millions of visitors who already use Yahoo! will now benefit from IDG.net's trusted resource of technology news, features, product reviews and email newsletters."

Yahoo Industry Marketplaces includes three marketplaces: Yahoo IT Hardware Marketplace, Yahoo IT Software Marketplace and Yahoo Electronics Marketplace. Each specialized marketplace is designed to serve purchasing decision makers, business owners and operators, designers and developers. IDG.net is a business unit of IDG, an IT media, research and event companies. IDG publishes more than 300 computer magazines and newspapers and 4,000 book titles.
