Posted on August 23, 1999

Ironminds.com, a new daily online content network that will launch August 30, has announced three major partnerships and the formation of its advisory board. Ironminds.com, which will offer a general-interest online magazine and a special section targeted to college students, has also joined alternative media network NewCity.com as an affiliate. Ironminds.com has also formed partnerships with Collegestudent.com, Coedmall.com and Impression Magazine.

"Ironminds.com will be the ultimate destination for college students and young people who are looking for news and commentary, and these significant partnerships will greatly extend our brand," said Andy Wang, founding editor-in-chief of Ironminds.com. "In addition, the advisory board we have formed is full of iron minds who have spent their careers working with and producing content for our target audience."

Ironminds.com is published at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, which is an equity partner in the venture. Prior to starting Ironminds.com, Andy Wang, who received his master's degree in journalism from Missouri, was founding editor-in-chief of the online magazine Impression. Wang has worked as a writer/editor at MSNBC.com and The Sporting News. He writes the Vanishing Point column for Raging Bull, a financial site backed by CMGI and CNET. Wang has also covered business and technology for publications including The New York Times and the E-Commerce Times.
