Jean Godfrey-June Joins beautyscene.com as Editor-in-Chief

Jean Godfrey-June, Beauty and Fitness Director of Elle magazine, will join beautyscene.com as Editor-in-Chief. In her new capacity, Godfrey-June will be directly responsible for the creative direction and development of the site's online magazine, beautyzine. She will also directly oversee the beautyscene.com Editorial Board which includes former Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief, Helen Gurley-Brown and fashion photographer, Patrick Demarchelier.

"I see myself as shaping the look as well as the voice of this 'beautyzine,'" says Godfrey-June. "beautyscene.com was a logical move for me. I hope to provide beautyscene.com with a distinctive voice that speaks to the intelligent woman to inspire a level of respect and trust."

Most recently, Godfrey-June served as the Beauty and Fitness Director of Elle magazine for six years. Godfrey-June is well known for her "Godfrey's Guide" column as well as Elle's "Beauty Editor's Notebook." Godfrey-June has been an active participant in the fashion and beauty scene for many years, writing essays and articles focusing on topics ranging from body image to hot runway trends. She served as an editor at Unique Homes, and Contract Design. She has also written articles for numerous publications including Vogue, Conde Nast Traveler, Worth, New York Magazine, Mademoiselle, Glamour, and Seventeen.
