Jeffrey M. Killeen Named Chief Executive Officer of Forbes.com

Forbes has announced that Jeffrey M. Killeen will lead Forbes.com in the newly created position of Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. In his new position, Killeen will oversee all aspects of the strategic and operational growth of Forbes.com, the company's Internet site, which was launched in 1997.

"Jeff is a seasoned talent and leader in the most dynamic area of business today -- the Internet," said Timothy C. Forbes, Chief Operating Officer of Forbes. "He brings to Forbes.com a combination of business acumen, creativity and vast experience in all aspects of Web development and operations."

Jeff Killeen, 46, most recently served as COO of barnesandnoble.com. Previously, Killeen served as President and CEO of SBC Interactive Media, which created the content and electronic yellow pages businesses for both Pacific Bell and SBC. He also served as President and CEO of ESS Ventures, a joint venture of Times Mirror and Pacific Telesis.

Forbes.com was launched in 1997 and receives more than 2.5 million unique visits per month. Its parent company, Forbes, Inc., is a leading provider of business information for executives and investors.
