John Kennedy, Editor-In-Chief, George, Assumes Additional Role as President

John Kennedy, Editor-in-Chief of George magazine, will assume the additional role of President, effective immediately. The announcement was made today by David J. Pecker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hachette Filipacchi Magazines.

"As founder and co-owner of George, John's appointment to President is the natural reflection of his dedication to the magazine," said David J. Pecker. "His vision as Editor-in-Chief has been instrumental in positioning George as the largest-selling political magazine, in the nation. This new role as President, in addition to his editorial duties, will more fully integrate John into the publishing of the magazine."

Hachette Filipacchi Magazines currently publishes 29 consumer titles reaching over 47 million readers including American Photo, Audio, Best Selling Home Plans, Boating, Car and Driver, Car Stereo Review, Classic Automobile Register, Cycle World, ELLE, ELLE Decor, Family Life, Flying, George, Home, Metropolitan Home, Mirabella, Popular Photography, Premiere, Road & Track, Showboats International, Stereo Review, Travel Holiday, Video, Woman's Day, and Eating Well as well as a number of quarterlies and special publications.
