Posted on February 15, 2000

Women.com Networks, Inc., an Internet network for women, has announced that Judith Coyne, former editor-in-chief of New Woman magazine, has joined the network as vice president and editor-in-chief.

In her new position, Coyne will shape the editorial vision for the Women.com properties. In addition to setting the network's editorial strategy and heading up the creative teams in California and New York, Coyne will work closely with editors from Women.com's partners, including the Hearst Corporation, Rodale Inc., and Harlequin Books. Prior to joining Women.com, Coyne was editor-in-chief of New Woman. Prior to her tenure at New Woman, Coyne spent 12 years at Glamour magazine, most recently as executive editor. She has also held positions at Redbook and Cosmopolitan magazines.

``As editor-in-chief of New Woman, I worked with Ellen Pack and her talented team to create the website for the magazine,'' said Coyne. ``I was impressed by the company's broad content, technologies, and deep knowledge of the women's market. This job is giving me the opportunity to work in three important directions: to help fulfill Women.com's ambitions for its original content; to work closely with the first-class magazines at Hearst and Rodale, whose websites we're producing; and to help build the Women.com brand.''
