Kiko Partners With Zoobooks Animal Encyclopedias

Posted on October 2, 2000

Kiko, Inc. and Zoobooks animal encyclopedias have partnered to build a Zoobooks Learning Center with interactive lessons for math, science and language arts. Zoobooks will create and contribute multimedia web lessons using Kiko's authoring tools. The Zoobooks community can then retrieve animal learning activities from kiko.com. Kiko offers publishing tools and templates that help teachers and others build lessons for its free library.

``Zoobooks is one of the most well-respected animal information sources geared to young readers and is widely used as an essential resource for students creating their very first report,'' says Kiko CEO Stephen Perkins. ``Zoobooks readers are the ideal Kiko members.''

Zoobooks are guides to animals, birds, reptiles and insects. Teachers and students will be able to access animal-based math problems, brain-teasers, quizzes and spelling bees at kiko.com. ``Kiko offers our audience an additional learning community, which enables Zoobooks to have an even greater educational impact,'' says Zoobooks marketing director Julaine Chattaway Rich.
