The Los Angeles Times has improved its website for its business readers. Working with Reality Online, a Reuters company, latimes.com has redesigned and enhanced its Business section with news updates every two minutes plus added breadth, depth, and new functionality. There's better integration of news and information, according to Leah Gentry, new media editorial director for latimes.com.

"We've made it easier for our readers to customize searches and get the information they want instantly from a bigger content base," Gentry explained. "We listen to our business readers and these improvements reflect our response to their wants and needs."

Business readers can now get more news and information each day for their financial planning. The latimes.com Business section provides users access to a full-featured portfolio tracker for stocks, mutual funds, and market indices through Reuters Investor, developed by Reality Online. Plus, users can receive e-mailed portfolio status updates, charts, and graphs of holdings as well as multiple layouts for viewing and sorting portfolio data.

In addition to enhanced tools, the Business section has grown its coverage of key areas of interest, including continuous updates on both technology and California businesses. And a newly implemented design and structure allows users to move easily between sections and features.
