Posted on January 14, 1999

law.com was unveiled to the public this week as a comprehensive portal for legal information on the Internet. Law.com also has a staff to assist in helping users to find the information they need on the Internet, should they have difficulty finding it at the law.com site. Among the launch content partners at law.com are CourtTV, LOISLAW, Harcourt-Brace, Corporate Legal Times, And LegalSpan.

"The law influences virtually every aspect of our lives, but legal information is scattered across the web. It requires a lot of time to find what you're looking for using traditional search engines," said R. Bruce Whiting, CEO and chairman of Law.com. "Our goal is to make our site easy to remember and easy to use so that anyone, including business people, the public, lawyers and students, can find what they need at law.com."
