Len Burnett Named Associate Publisher for Vibe and Blaze Magazines

Len Burnett was promoted to Associate Publisher for both Vibe and the new title Blaze, it was announced by Vibe Ventures Group Publisher John Rollins. Blaze, is a new magazine geared exclusively towards hip-hop music and culture. The preview issue will debut in August with a circulation of 200,000 copies. Blaze will target young men aged 14 to 24. The launch issue will be followed by a roll out in 1999, when Blaze will publish nine issues.

Prior to his promotion, Burnett was Advertising Director at Vibe, since 1995. Burnett joined Vibe in 1993 as a member of the magazines founding team, and held the position of Account Executive. Prior to joining Vibe, Burnett was the Co-Founder and Executive Director for Urban Profile Magazine. Burnett began his sales career as an Account Executive for Baxter Healthcare.
