Lycos and Microsoft Reach Content Agreement

Lycos, Inc. and, an online magazine published by Microsoft, have announced the launch of a new co-branded news site. Lycos users will now have access to's perspective on news, politics and culture.

"We are very happy to announce this content deal with Lycos," said Scott Moore, Slate Publisher. "Lycos users can now receive cutting edge content from including Slate's comprehensive and informative election 2000 news coverage, and it gives us the opportunity to expand our market-leading audience reach even further."

In this distribution arrangement, Lycos will be carrying nearly all of Slate's content. Users will be able to reach Slate content through various featured links on such as the News and Politics Guides. Users will also be directed to via news headlines featured on the Lycos home page.
