Magic Johnson, BIG Entertainment Team Up In Creative Venture

Pro basketball star Magic Johnson has signed a three-part agreement with BIG Entertainment to develop textbooks, children's books, novels, and action figure cartoon characters with special appeal to children.
Magic Johnson will work with Big E's writers and graphic designers to develop several new action figure cartoon characters in the science fiction, fantasy, mystery, horror and/or western genres. Magic Johnson will give full creative input to the various projects and will retain approval over the final product, which will then become central figures in children's books, novels, TV and film programming, and toys.
Additionally, BIG E will develop a series of educational textbooks, covering subjects such as reading, math and science, with the material "presented" by Magic Johnson and possibly other major sports figures. The textbooks will use examples from sports to illustrate important concepts and enliven student interest and enthusiasm. The textbooks will be geared for use at elementary, middle and/or junior high schools.
