Computing McGraw-Hill, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies specializing in information technology books, and IDG's Computerworld have announced a marketing and strategic partnership between the two companies, comprised of several publishing and promotional initiatives. The two companies have also announced the joint launch of a new series of books for this fall.

"Both Computing McGraw-Hill and Computerworld excel at delivering high-value information to IT leaders," said Brandon Nordin, Vice President and Group Publisher for Osborne and Computing McGraw-Hill. "This partnership will improve that service even further, combining Computerworld's high visibility and industry insight with Computing McGraw-Hill's collection of authors and thought books."

At the vanguard of the alliance will be the launch of Computerworld IT Leaders Press, a series that will include books on emerging technology by prominent figures in the world of IT. The first book in the new series will be The Power of Now by Vivek Ranadive', founder and CEO of Tibco. The book explains the organization of the event-driven company and how such a company can increase its response time and market awareness using real-time technology. Its release date is scheduled for September 1, 1999.
