Microsoft and Miller Freeman to Produce Microsoft Interactive Developer

Posted on June 22, 1998

Microsoft and Miller Freeman Inc. announced a new agreement to co-produce the developer magazine Microsoft Interactive Developer (MIND). First published in March 1996, MIND is focused on Microsoft technologies for Internet and intranet development.

Eric J. Maffei, Editor-in-Chief of MIND and its sister publication Microsoft Systems Journal (MSJ) said, "We're extremely pleased to be growing the partnership between Microsoft and Miller Freeman. Since 1991, my editorial staff here in New York City has worked with Miller Freeman to produce MSJ. Miller Freeman has been key to MSJ's success, bringing to the table their expertise in all business aspects of publishing. Because of their efforts we have watched MSJ's readership and ad sales grow year after year. Now, with this new partnership, MIND is getting the same hard-working, industry savvy, straightforward, and effective publisher."

MIND was previously published in partnership with Fawcette Technical Publications (FTP). Microsoft terminated FTP's right to publish MIND on May 14th. MIND will continue to be served to the same subscriber list that was in use prior to the May 14th termination.
