Miller Freeman Launches Intelligent Enterprise

Posted on May 29, 1998

Miller Freeman, Inc. announced the launch of Intelligent Enterprise, a technology publication covering the integration and management of business-critical applications and corporate information infrastructures. The new magazine will feature columns, product reviews, and features that provide both technical detail and an emphasis on achieving business objectives.

Intelligent Enterprise has evolved from two of MFI's current information technology (IT) publications, DBMS and Database Programming & Design, and will replace both of them. The new magazine will serve an audience of more than 100,000 IT executives such as CIOs and technical VPs, IT managers such as application development managers and software project leaders, IT specialists such as application developers, systems analysts, and database specialists, and corporate managers such as CEOs, general managers, and line-of-business managers. Intelligent Enterprise will be a technical magazine with a focus on enterprise applications.

The new publication will be staffed by editorial, sales, and production personnel from both DBMS and Database Programming & Design. David M. Kalman, currently Publisher of DBMS, will serve as Publisher of the new magazine, and David Stodder, Editorial Director of Database Programming & Design, will serve as Editorial Director. Justin Kestelyn, currently Editor-in-Chief of Database Programming & Design, will be Executive Editor. The first Intelligent Enterprise issue will be published in September 1998 with an October cover date.
