MP3Lit.com Inc. Partners With AOL's Spinner.com

MP3Lit.com Inc., a digital audio literature website, has announced today that it has signed an agreement with AOL's Spinner.com to provide short stories, poems, essays and more in MP3 across a variety of genres from well-known and independent authors for its new Playlist-To-Go feature.

MP3Lit.com will supply new author recordings monthly for Spinner's Playlist-To-Go service, a first service which offers access to free music and spoken word/literature downloads. Spinner will provide links to the MP3Lit website where customers can sample the free spoken word MP3s, and purchase books or audiobooks. Playlist-To-Go also integrates a custom Nullsoft Winamp player for users of portable music player devices.

Launched at Internet World '99 in New York, MP3Lit.com's mission is to be a vehicle for writers and publishers to distribute their recorded works directly to the public via digital audio. The company is working with dozens of publisher to promote their book and audiobook releases, including Random House Audio, Bantam Doubleday Dell Audio, Time Warner Audiobooks, Harper Audio and others. MP3Lit.com was founded in August 1999.
