Posted on May 28, 1998

Field Galleries has announced a new addition to their website called, "The Joy of Horses." The website provides an online magazine covering equine related topics on a global basis. The online magazine was launched on May 19th and will be published bi-monthly.

Editor Sue Wingate says: "We believe this is to be the first such magazine on the Internet and it is entirely free for people to view".

Sue's aim is to bring together horse lovers from all over the world and participation by readers is actively encouraged. She is also running a "Writer of the Year" competition for the best non-fiction article with a £100/$160 cash prize or £150/$240 of Field Galleries' vouchers to purchase high quality greetings cards or limited edition prints.

In this first issue there are sections devoted to horse racing, heavy horses and dressage, which will become mini magazines in their own right and other specialised sections will grow and develop such as The Iberian Horse and rare breeds. Future planned special features include harness making, Newmarket - the HQ of British racing, Ireland "Home of the Horse", Syndicates and what they offer the would-be racehorse owner and American Horse Breeds and their place in history.
