Taylor Swift on cover of Famous magazine

The Australian print celebrity magazine called Famous Magazine is being shuttered. Pacific Magazines is closing the print magazine and launching a new online destination called FamousLive. The company is refocusing its resources on the website.

The issue above has Taylor Swift photographs. It says "Taylor & Calvin's Secret Hawaii Wedding." This was not a wedding but just a holiday for the couple. It also features a section showing stars without makeup and a feature on who Liam has dumped. This type of content will be moving to the publication's new website.

Peter Zavecz, CEO, Pacific Magazines, says in the announcement, "The decision to cease publishing in print is never an easy one and we sincerely thank the Famous staff for their contribution to the brand. After much consideration, we feel that refocusing on a digital only model with FamousLive is the correct one. Our strategy is about adding value to audiences. The launch of FamousLive refocuses our energy and investment to better tap into the immediacy, innovation and social currency this digital native market demands."

The company says FamousLive will feature a mix of celebrity and culture as well as beauty, fashion, listicles and short form commentary. It will also offer 360 degree video. The website for FamousLive is located at: famouslive.com.au.
