Pamela Watkins Named Vice President/Publishing Director of CMP's Windows Magazine

CMP Media Inc. has named Pamela Watkins vice president/publishing director of Windows Magazine. Watkins, an eleven-year CMP veteran, was most recently vice president of business process and was instrumental in heading up the company's efforts to evaluate and enhance its major operations.

Watkins joined CMP's Computer Reseller News in 1988 as district manager and quickly rose through the ranks, holding a number of key management positions at the number one channel publication, including national sales manager, associate publisher, and publisher. In 1996 she assumed broader publishing responsibility for all of the CMP Channel Group's market-leading titles, which include VARBusiness and Computer Retail Week, and in 1997 was promoted to vice president, publishing director of the Group. Last year, CMP Vice President/Chief Information Officer Debra Robinson tapped Watkins to develop and streamline CMP's business processes in order to better serve technology a dvertisers. Watkins replaces Dan Schwartz, who has left the company.
