Penton Media's Internet World Media Group Announces Promotions

Penton Media has announced the promotions of Paul Miller from Associate Publisher to Publisher of Internet World magazine and of Phil Ripperger from Northeast Regional Sales Manager to Advertising Director of the publication.

Internet World is a leading publication serving Internet professionals. Published semi-monthly, it has a BPA-audited circulation of 150,000, and provides strategy, e-business, technical implementation, Web programming and design information. Internet World introduced enhancements to its product mix in July, including a change from a tabloid format to a standard magazine format, an increase in circulation from 125,000 to 150,000, and the launch of a daily e-mail newsletter.

Miller joined the company in March 1999 as associate publisher. In his new position, he will have overall responsibility for both the Internet World print and online properties. He will continue to work from Penton's Silicon Valley office in Burlingame, CA, and will report to Thomas Kuczynski, Vice President, Internet Media, Internet World Media Group.
