PhotoHighway.com, an online photography community, has announced the acquisition of HyperZine Communications, Inc., an Internet publishing company which was launched in 1995. With this merger, PhotoHighway.com strengthens its Internet photography.

"This acquisition represents an important step in our plan to position PhotoHighway.com as the preeminent Internet-based information resource for consumers interested in photography and in creating and sharing their photos online," said Joe Byrd, Chief Operating Officer of PhotoHighway.com, Inc. "I'm pleased to announce that as our company's Editorial Director, HyperZine founder Larry White continues to play an important role in the editorial content and consumer outreach programs initiated by PhotoHighway.com."

"This acquisition is a perfect fit for all involved," said Lawrence R. White, President/Publisher of HyperZine Communications, Inc. "It is a meeting of the minds concerning digital photography and the need for delivering clear, concise information for today's consumer. PhotoHighway's primary goal is to help its readers learn more about photography and to ease their transition into digital imaging."

Among the unique HyperZine features incorporated into PhotoHighway.com is a search engine designed to help consumers make purchase decisions about cameras, scanners and related products. HyperZine will continue as a separate e-zine, complementing PhotoHighway's PhotoTimes e-zine, under the direction of Lawrence R. White.
