Public Safety Product News Teams With Firehouse Magazine

Cygnus Publishing announced plans to join operations of two of its top public safety publications. Firehouse magazine will align efforts with Public Safety Product News (PSPN) creating one of the largest editorial and advertising teams servicing the fire and public safety industries.

"We believe the combination of talent and expertise will have an immediate impact on both publications' bottom lines," said Bruce T. Bowling, publisher of Firehouse. Plans call for each to offer unique ad packages that will benefit advertisers for both publications. Cygnus Publishing recently purchased Public Safety Product News from General Communications gaining a solid foothold on the public and fire safety market which is estimated to spend more than 2.5 billion per year.

The joining of operations also opens the way for PSPN to participate in the Firehouse Emergency Services Expo. The Expo attracts over 350 exhibitors and more than 12,000 fire and safety personnel each year. In its 15 years, it has become the largest fire and emergency services trade show on the East Coast. It will host both the National Association of Emergency Vehicle Technicians (NAEVT) and the International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI). irculation (ABC) to maintain strict qualification.
