Quentin Hardy Joins Forbes As Sr. Editor Covering Technology

Posted on July 13, 1999

Quentin Hardy, a veteran technology reporter for The Wall Street Journal, has joined Forbes magazine as a Senior Editor covering the technology industry. Hardy spent eight years at the Journal, covering the Japanese banking crisis and market collapse in the paper's Tokyo bureau (1991-94) and the wireless industry and Silicon Valley while based in San Francisco (1994-99).

Hardy will work in Forbes' Silicon Valley bureau in Burlingame, headed by bureau chief Elizabeth Corcoran. Corcoran joined Forbes in February 1999 from The Washington Post. Both are new additions to the technology staff overseen by Executive Editor Dennis Kneale, who left the Journal last fall to join Forbes and oversee coverage of technology and health.

Dennis Kneale said, "Quentin Hardy is a wonderful story-teller with a real sense of urgency. He well understands the critical importance that high-tech holds for business and consumers and for our readers. He will be a great addition to our already-excellent bureau in Silicon Valley."
