Reader's Digest Sells Weekly Reader to Scholastic

Reader's Digest has sold its educational Weekly Reader brand to Scholastic. The products include classroom magazines designed to give teachers tool to inspire and teach students. Weekly Reader says its reaches 250,000 teachers and 8 million students annually.
The sale has not been officially announced, but was reported by the New York Post. The Post found a leaked memo and contacted Scholastic. Scholastic says they do not plan any changes to Weekly Reader for the current shcool year.
