Founder to Launch Virtual College

Stuart Skorman, founder of, has announced the ground-breaking of Hungry Minds, a web-based distance learning portal. Scheduled to launch in September 1999, Hungry Minds will enable students to take Web-based classes on anything from Internet-related professional development topics to lifestyle and continuing education. The classes will leverage the flexibility of the Internet, allowing students to customize each course for their own personal learning experience.

"This is a project I've been incubating for years. I've always had a burning desire to move education beyond the traditional classroom," said Skorman.
