The Jordan, Edmiston Group, Inc. announced that Emmaus, Pennsylvania-based Rodale Press, Inc. has sold its , Colorado-based Leman Publishing Group's Quiltmaker magazine and Quilter's Newsletter Magazine to PriMedia Inc. The two quilting titles acquired by PriMedia Inc. from Leman, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rodale Press, are industry leaders in providing their readers information on quilting.

"Earlier this year, Rodale announced they would be divesting certain properties that were peripheral to their core market of healthy active lifestyles," said Wilma Jordan, chief executive officer of The Jordan, Edmiston Group.

"Rodale's exceptional track record in developing and growing a loyal base of readers and advertisers for its crafts and hobbies titles, made the acquisition of Quiltmaker magazine and Quilter's Newsletter Magazine a very attractive opportunity for PriMedia Inc.," added Jordan.

Rodale Press, Inc. also publishes over 40 book titles for the quilting and sewing marketplace, which last year sold over 660,000 copies. Among the titles are Quick Country Quilting, Quick and Easy Quiltmaking, and The Experts Book of Sewing Tips and Techniques. These properties were not involved in the sale.
