Salon.com, an Internet media site, and Lycos, Inc., an Internet portal, have announced an agreement to feature Salon.com's content on Lycos.com. During the term of the agreement, the Salon-Lycos co-branded area will carry content from several of Salon.com's 10 original content sites including Salon News, Salon Books and Salon Entertainment. Salon's content will be part of the Lycos Entertainment Web Guide.

"By providing content to Lycos, Salon.com reaches one of the largest audiences on the entire Internet," said Michael O'Donnell, CEO and president of Salon.com. According to Media Metrix, almost 30 million unique visitors used the Lycos Network in June 1999.

"Adding content from Salon.com gives our users fast and easy access to one of the best content sources on the Internet," said Ron Gamble, vice president of product management at Lycos.
