Securities Data Publishing Names Evan Cooper Editor-in-Chief of On Wall Street

Securities Data Publishing (SDP), a provider of intelligence and solutions for financial services professionals, has announced that Evan Cooper has joined On Wall Street as its editor-in-chief. Cooper will be responsible for the editorial content and day-to-day operations of On Wall Street, a monthly magazine published for brokers at national, regional, and local securities firms across the United States.

Before joining SDP, Cooper served as the editor of horsesmouth.com, an online service for stockbrokers. Prior to that, he was the editor of Securities Industry Daily (now Securities Industry News, a publication of SDP) and Securities Industry Management magazine. From 1982 to 1987, Cooper served as the Senior Vice President and Director of Communications of the Securities Industry Association.

"Evan's knowledge of the financial services industry and his familiarity with Wall Street's biggest players makes him a vital addition and valuable resource to On Wall Street, its over 90,000 readers, and SDP's well-respected editorial team," noted Wendi Winshall, Vice President, Securities Data Publishing. Cooper, 49, started his career as a business reporter at Fairchild Communications and The Miami Herald. Cooper also has written articles for New Choices magazine, ABCNews.com and MSN Money Central. He holds a Master's degree in Journalism from the Medill School of Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Baruch College of the City University of New York. A resident of Great Neck, N.Y., Cooper is married and the father of two children.
