SmartMoney.com Launches Co-Branded Investing Site With Lycos

SmartMoney.com, a resource on the Web for individual investors, has launched a co-branded investing site with Lycos, Inc., Marc Frons, SmartMoney.com's editor, announced today. The site, part of Lycos Investing, will encompass the personal finance tools and advice from Smart Money.

The new SmartMoney/Lycos co-branded site contains SmartMoney.com's most popular sections: The Answer Center (consumer advice on everything from how to get the best car deal online to saving for retirement), Broker Ratings (the best and worst full-service, online and discount brokers), Mutual Fund Analysis, Ask SmartMoney (a daily advice column), Daily Stock Screen (a new company is profiled daily based on SmartMoney.com's proprietary screening methodologies), Pundit Watch (SmartMoney rates 12 of Wall Street's prominent market gurus such as Abby Cohen and Barton Biggs, and rates them according to the accuracy and timeliness of their predictions), Bond Investing & Short-Term Investing, and SmartMoney's Asset Allocation system.

"By adding SmartMoney.com content, Lycos Investing becomes an even more comprehensive resource for Lycos.com visitors," said Jan Horsfall, vice president of marketing for Lycos. "SmartMoney.com provides some of the best personal finance aids on the Web."

SmartMoney magazine, The Wall Street Journal Magazine of Personal Business, was launched in 1992 by The Hearst Corporation and Dow Jones & Company to service the need for personal finance information among the group of professional and managerial Americans. The magazine's president and editor-in-chief is Steven Swartz. SmartMoney rate base is 725,000.
