Sony Electronics Inc. has announced that the premiere issue of the new Sony Style magazine is available on newsstands. Sony Style has been redesigned as a lifestyle, entertainment and personal technology magazine featuring actual experiences of Sony enthusiasts.

"The new Sony Style magazine champions the accelerating convergence of content and technology. In our urban entertainment center in San Francisco, the Metreon(TM), at Sony Plaza in Manhattan, and on our Internet site, Sony Online, Sony offers not only exciting new electronics products, but also urges consumers to sample and enjoy a seamless blend of music, movies, games, television and interactivity," said Howard Stringer, chairman and CEO of Sony Corp. of America and chairman of Sony Electronics Inc. "Sony Style is an enriching entertainment and lifestyle experience -- putting fun back into future shock."

The magazine will offer "behind-the-scenes" insight on electronics, films and music with profiles of Sony engineering wizards, designers and affiliated artists, as well as non-Sony personalities. Sony Style is primarily geared for men and women between the ages of 18 and 35, who are interested in style, entertainment and technology. It will be published quarterly with a newsstand distribution of 400,000. The magazine sells for $5.95 in the U.S. and $8.95 in Canada.
