Space.com Promotes Anthony Duignan-Cabrera to Managing Editor

Space.com has announced the promotion of Anthony Duignan-Cabrera to Managing Editor of the company's news team operations. Duignan-Cabrera will oversee the day-to-day operation, including multimedia coverage, of Space.com's international news team.

``This promotion recognizes Anthony's leadership, initiative and talent as a journalist and producer,'' said Lou Dobbs, Space.com's Chairman and CEO. ``With his keen news sense and strong leadership, Anthony will guide our news team in delivering the most comprehensive space news and information available.''

Duignan-Cabrera joined the company as a Content Producer in November 1999. Prior to joining Space.com, he was a Segment Producer for Good Morning America where he developed story ideas and coordinated guest bookings for the morning broadcast.

Duignan-Cabrera has spent the last 10 years producing, writing and reporting for various news organizations. He was a correspondent with People Magazine's New York Bureau and a staff writer for The Miami Herald. Duignan-Cabrera also reported for ABC News, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly, Biography Magazine and Life. He studied Journalism at San Francisco State University.
