StudyWeb Academic Research Focuses on Top Content

For educators and students who use the Internet for research but face the delays and inconvenience of poring through thousands of random search results, one site offers quick relief. StudyWeb is a free, comprehensive index that categorizes and reviews over 15,000 educational and reference Web sites, and links users directly to their desired information. StudyWEB was developed by American Computer Resources, Inc., a leading computer distributor to the education market.

"The 'Net can no longer satisfy users with broad-based search results and gee-whiz graphics," says Hubert Bowen, president of ACR. "As information continues to pour onto the Web, the emphasis is now on channeling that information into focused, high-quality content. This is even more critical in the classroom, where time is limited and must be used for learning, not searching."

StudyWEB is growing rapidly, with over 500 new links being added to the site's roster every week. StudyWEB's has a growing army of researchers -- typically well-educated homemakers with some education or research background, who enjoy the flexibility of the program. "We're always hiring," says Bowen.

"There's no substitute for the high-quality results produced by educated, enthusiastic researchers," he says. "Our goal is to continue to attract additional researchers to help us create the largest and fastest educational resources available. We want StudyWEB to become the preferred education site for school and home research worldwide."
