Sydney H. Schanberg, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, has joined APBNews.com as Editor for Special Investigations, it was announced by Marshall V. Davidson, CEO and Chairman of APB Multimedia, Inc. Schanberg will oversee investigations involving a broad range of criminal justice, personal safety and government secrecy issues.

"We are thrilled to have Sydney join APBNews.com. Uncompromising editorial standards and our absolute dedication to building the authoritative news source on crime, justice and safety have allowed us to attract journalists like Sydney," Davidson said. "From the beginning, we have hired veteran reporters and producers who understood the potential of combining the editorial disciplines of top newspaper and television newsrooms with the power of the Internet."

Schanberg was a New York Times foreign correspondent during the fall of Cambodia in 1975. His reporting from Southeast Asia became the basis for the Academy Award-winning film The Killing Fields. Schanberg was one of a few Western journalists to observe the 1975 fall of Cambodia to Communist guerillas, known as the "Khmer Rouge."
