Talk Magazine Goes Back On Press

Posted on August 6, 1999

Hearst Magazines has announced that Talk magazine has gone back on press with an additional 300,000 copies. Launched on August 3 with an initial press run of 1,000,000 copies, Talk is the fastest selling title in Hearst history with 1.3 million copies of the magazine hitting the marketplace. Talk magazine hit select newsstands on Tuesday, August 3, following the magazine's launch party at the Statue of Liberty on August 2.

"This is an unbelievable response to the debut issue of Talk," said Cathleen P. Black, president, Hearst Magazines. "It is virtually unheard of for the debut issue of a magazine to go back on press. The first issue of Talk is a bona fide hit and we are all thrilled at this amazing response."

In July of last year, Miramax Films established Talk Media in conjunction with Tina Brown and Ron Galotti to publish Talk magazine, produce television programming and publish books.
