Prevention magazine and The Health Network have formed a content and marketing partnership. The announcement was made by Barbara Newton, Vice President of Women's Publishing, Prevention magazine, and Marc Krigsman, The Health Network's Senior Vice President of Programming and Production.

"Widely know for delivering trusted, well-researched health information for almost 50 years, Prevention magazine offers us an excellent opportunity to provide our consumers, on television and on the Internet, with easy-to- understand information about their health," said Krigsman. "We are thrilled about our new venture with Prevention magazine."

"We look forward to working with The Health Network," said Newton. "At Prevention magazine, our mission is to help people enjoy healthier lives. We are excited that The Health Network will help to spread that message to a larger audience through television. This is another important step in our plan to provide the world with important health information through all forms of media."

The editorial and marketing partnership includes a Prevention magazine television program, developed and produced by The Health Network, scheduled to air in early 2000. The program will feature reports from the pages of the magazine. Prevention magazine will provide research for the 30-minute program and the network. In addition, Prevention magazine expert editors will serve as on-air guests and provide daily health tips to The Health Network viewers. The partnership also includes cross-media integrated marketing programs and Web site links.
