Tom Clancy Politika Website Unveiled

Headland Digital Media and Berkley Publishing Group, both Pearson plc companies, announced the launch of the Politika Web site to support the Berkley paperback release of Tom Clancy's Power Plays: Politika. The Politika Web site was strategically designed to compliment Berkley's traditional promotional tools with an interactive, web-based promotional event.

Beginning today, the Politika Web site will serve as an online community for Tom Clancy fans, providing detailed information on the highly anticipated book, its author, and the accompanying single and multiplayer online strategy game, Tom Clancy's Politika, developed by Red Storm Entertainment. The first major game based on Java technology, Tom Clancy's Politika is available for download on Red Storm Entertainment's Web site at and will be in retail stores on November 19, 1997.

The first two chapters of Tom Clancy's Power Plays: Politika will be available exclusively at The Book Report (Keyword: Clancy) on America Online from November 5th through November 11th. This AOL site will also contain other information about Politika and Tom Clancy, a special contest for AOL members, and a direct link to the Politika Web site. Tom Clancy will participate in a real-time chat about Politika in an AOL Live event in late November.
