West Coast Community Newspapers Sold

Veronis, Suhler & Associates reported this week that Independent Newspapers, Ltd. has sold its West Coast Community Newspapers unit to Central Valley Publishing Inc.

Based in Carlsbad, CA, West Coast Community Newspapers (WCCN) publishes 12 weekly newspapers serving suburban communities from San Diego to Seal Beach and Catalina Island, with a combined circulation of 231,368. WCCN also publishes a twice-monthly boating publication with free circulation of 42,300, and a weekly arts and entertainment paper serving the Santa Cruz market with circulation of 49,000.
