Posted on January 7, 2000

Fawcette Technical Publications (FTP) has announced that XML Magazine will be a quarterly publication in 2000. The second issue of XML Magazine will hit newsstands in mid-March.

"The response to XML Magazine has been phenomenal," stated Jeff Miller, Vice President, Publishing, FTP. "XML has been eagerly adopted by all areas of businesses, from finance to healthcare to e-commerce. As XML technology begins to be incorporated into all development languages, the need for practical how-to information is critical. Responding to the needs of developers, we are publishing four issues in 2000."

"XML Magazine delivers hands-on information that you can use immediately -- timely solutions to real-world problems, and in-depth instruction on how to implement XML as a part of Windows, Java, e-commerce and Web environments," added Sean Gallagher, Editor-in-Chief. "But what makes XML Magazine truly unique is that it is the only magazine of its kind with an online presence (www.xmlmag.com) -- offering discussion forums, expert answers, product listings and downloads and links to the best resources on the Web."
