Ziff-Davis' Computer Shopper Expands Across Platforms

Posted on May 13, 1998

Computer Shopper announced its expansion across multiple media platforms, which include Computer Shopper magazine in print, Computer Shopper NetBuyer on the ZDNet website, and now on television with ZDTV's Computer Shopper. To support this development, Computer Shopper has formed a unified sales force, which will represent all three platforms, providing vendors integrated solutions for reaching a broad audience of computer product buyers.

Computer Shopper magazine launched in 1979, and quickly became the direct channel's leading source of buying information. In 1996, the brand was expanded to the Web with the launch of Computer Shopper NetBuyer. Now, Computer Shopper on ZDTV will provide buyers with an additional source of information, while exposing the Computer Shopper brand to a broader audience of computer buyers.

As part of this expansion, David Berlind, former Editor-in-Chief at Windows Sources magazine, will step up to the position of Editorial Director to provide editorial direction and continuity for Computer Shopper in print, on the Web and on TV. Berlind will work closely with Editor-in-Chief John Blackford.
